Taryn joined the First4Maths Academy team in 2023 after working as an associate consultant at First4Maths for a year. She is currently teaching in Year 6 and during the past 9 years, she has also taught in Years 3 and 4. She is Mathematics Subject Leader and Key Stage 2 Phase Leader in a 2-form entry school in Chester. She is extremely passionate about mathematics and enjoys helping children to find connections within their learning through fun and engaging activities.
Within her role at First4Maths she has delivered a range of training for Year 6 teachers and has worked alongside the consultants at First4Maths Academy to write training materials and resources for Year 6. She is excited to be working with First4Maths Academy to further develop resources and training to support with teachers with their role.
